Spend Valentine’s Day immersed in soulful vocals, lush jazz, and songs made for romance with Boston native Cassandre McKinley and her ensemble. Known for blending soul, jazz, blues, R&B, pop, and country into a sound all her own, McKinley is a gifted storyteller whose live performances are both intimate and deeply expressive. She will be joined by Berklee colleagues Tim Ray on piano, Bruce Gertz on bass, and Mark Walker on drums for an evening of sophisticated musicianship and heartfelt interpretations. A longtime recording artist and Berklee College of Music faculty member, McKinley has collaborated with artists including Peter Eldridge, Duke Levine, Bernard Purdie, J. Geils, and Herb Pomeroy.
