Artist Studio Rental

Starting in July 2026, the Mosesian Center for the Arts will offer 2 of its spacious studios for rent. We are excited to welcome artists who are committed to their practice, create dynamic work, and would like to participate and contribute to the center’s artistic community.  

The rental cycle is from July 1 – November 30, 2026. Artists can choose to rent for the 5-month duration or for a shorter period at a minimum of one month.  

Each studio is 244 square feet. The rental fee for a private studio is $600 per month. Shared studio rental is $400 per month. The shared studio rental can accommodate two artists.  

 

What is included?  

• Single or shared studio space (244 sq ft) 
• Air conditioned / Heated space  
• Wi-Fi 
• Access to common area sinks 
• Large windows with plenty of natural light  
• 24-hour access to studio space.  
• Shuttle service to and from the Alexandria Campus, where MCA is located. Limited routes.  
• Cafe and restaurant located on campus.  

 

What is NOT included?  

• Materials  
• Classroom access 
• Additional Storge (Materials and artwork can only be stored in the studio)

• Indicate on the form if the artist is applying for a private studio rental or shared studio rental.  
• For shared studio space: You can apply with a colleague or as an individual and we will reach out to make sure you are matched with an appropriate studio mate. 
• Include a link to the artist website(s) 

 

Adjudication 

Decision will be made on a rolling basis and is based on the:  

• Quality of the artwork  
• Materials used in making the artwork. The studios are not equipped with special ventilation for toxic materials

The Mosesian Center for the Arts is located on the Alexandria Center for Life Sciences Arsenal on the Charles Campus. It is easily accessible from I-95/128, Routes 9, 16, 20, and 90 (Mass Pike), as well as the MBTA bus lines. Free parking is available in the East Garage, a centrally located six-floor parking garage on the Arsenal on the Charles campus.
