Multiverse Concert Series presents Octave of Light

Multiverse Concert Series presents their latest album by composer Dr. David Ibbett. This release tour of Octave of Light fuses classical music with EDM and the science of exoplanets.

Over 4,000 exoplanets have been discovered. Are any home to life?

Composer Dr. David Ibbett explores this crucial question in Octave of Light, featuring soprano Beth Sterling, violinist Sophie Wang, and the composer on piano and electronics. This one-of-a-kind project is a musical celebration of exoplanet science, created in collaboration with Dr. Roy Gould of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. Too small to be seen directly, most exoplanets are detected as shadows across their parent star. By analyzing these shadows, David has sonified (turned data and light to sound) their spectra into a musical language of molecules and exoplanets. Will these chemical combinations be the key to discovering life on another world?

*Premium tickets include a post-performance reception with the creative team.
