Reopened as of November 2021, our highest priority is the health and safety of all people entering, performing, and working in our arts center.
We review these policies weekly, so please continue to check this page for the most up to date information and safety protocols. We will notify all ticket holders and update this page as adjustments are made. For COVID-19 safety guidelines specific to our educational programs, please click here.
Updated: March 23, 2022
Masking and Vaccination
• Following CDC guidelines and state and local regulations, our masking policy is updated as of March 25, 2022. Unless requested by a specific performing organization or artist, masks are no longer required to enter the facility. For the safety of our staff, performers, and other guests, we do encourage wearing masks throughout the facility. Because requirements may vary by performance, please check the details on each event's page and carefully read pre-performance emails for important information and updates.
• All guests age 12 and over are still required to provide proof of full vaccination. A guest is considered fully vaccinated with an FDA or WHO authorized vaccine, and their last dose must have been administered at least 14 days before attending the event. The proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be a physical vaccination card, a photograph of the card, or a digital record stored on a phone or electronic device. Proof must include the name of the person vaccinated, type of vaccine, and date of the last dose administered. A matching photo ID is also required. Guests younger than age 18 without ID must be accompanied by an adult with proper identification.
• Alternately, guests may show a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to the performance or a negative COVID-19 antigen test taken within 24 hours prior to the performance.
• For Spring 2022 programs, all education program staff and participants must provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 to MCA prior to the first class session, or unvaccinated participants must present a COVID rapid test taken within 24 hours of each rehearsal or class they attend, or a PCR test taken within 72 hours. We require a photo of the negative rapid test result with the participant's name and the time and date written next to it, or documentation of the negative PCR test result with the participant's name and the time and date listed. We no longer accept pool test results. We strongly encourage rapid tests if possible.
• Children age 11 and younger who are attending performances or events will not be required to show proof of a negative test. (See COVID-19 safety guidelines for educational programs here.)
• Staff and volunteers are also required to be vaccinated.
• We request that all staff, volunteers, and visitors self-assess and voluntarily stay home if they show symptoms or have been in contact within seven days with a person diagnosed with COVID-19. In such cases, we will be glad to assist ticket holders in rescheduling for another performance or event.
• Those who do not follow these policies will be denied entry or removed from the facility and will not receive a refund.
Contactless Ticketing and Purchases
• Physical tickets will not need to be handed over for entry. We encourage the use of phones or electronic devices to show tickets.
• For performances with program books, digital copies will be published with printed copies available upon request. We ask that audience members properly dispose of or take any printed program book home with them.
Concessions
• We will determine closer to each event date whether concessions will be sold. If they are, food and drink may be limited to the lobby and bar areas and not allowed in the theaters. As always, outside food and drink will not be allowed in the theaters.
• We encourage the use of a debit/credit card or exact change for purchases on site.
Sanitizing, Disinfecting, and Air Quality
• Hand sanitizing stations are available in the building.
• Main restroom fixtures on the first floor are now touch-free.
• In addition to renovations to increase usable public space, HVAC systems have been upgraded using highly-rated MERV-13 filters, and adjustments have been made to improve circulation and to allow more fresh air to enter the system.
The Mosesian Center for the Arts reserves the right to adjust these requirements and guidelines if and when public health, Federal, State, and/or local regulations and recommendations change.
