Audition Workshop with Marissa Jaret Winokur

Gr 6-12+

Marissa Jaret Winokur originated the role of Tracy Turnblad in the Broadway production of Hairsprey, for which she won the 2003 Tony Award. We are excited to welcome her to MCA for a one-day workshop!

Participants should prepare a 16 bar cut from a musical theatre song that they would use for an audition, and bring sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided. Each participant will share their 16 bars with the group and receive feedback from Marissa to strengthen their audition.

Students in grades 6-12 as well as college students are welcome to register, but spaces are limited!
