Introduction to Drawing

Drawing is for everyone! This class is designed for students who are new to drawing and students who have had some experience in the past and would like to start regular drawing practice. In this 8-week class, participants will be introduced to essential concepts such as composition, mark making, form, line, tone, and value. Students will learn through observation using pencils, pens, charcoal, and ink and will be given the opportunity to experiment with materials and techniques to discover their own style and way of working. Objects, still-lives and photographs will be used to practice with different materials and techniques.
