Summer 2026 Week 5 (Gr. 6-8) Printmaking and Collage

Week 5 • August 3-7

Printmaking and Collage

Gr. 6-8 (grade entering Fall 2026)

Learn about different kinds of printmaking techniques including monotype, intaglio, stencil, and more. Experiment with color, pattern, and size as you design, hand carve, and print original images on a variety of papers and fabrics. Blend 2D and 3D art as you learn the art of collage! Layer colors, textured papers, cut out letters, and images to create your own sculptural surfaces, landscapes, and portraits.

For all programs, participants should pack and bring a nut-free lunch and snacks each day as well as a reusable water bottle. We also strongly encourage a change of clothing to be kept on hand in a backpack in case of emergencies. All programs are hands on, and participants should wear clothing in which they can move freely and participate in art activities, as well as play outdoors (weather-permitting) during choice times.
