Character Creation

Gr. 6-8 (grade entering Fall 2026)

This interdisciplinary experience explores the creation of unique and interesting characters through the lens of both visual and performing arts. Participants will spend half of each day working with a visual arts instructor to create characters through drawing, painting and other media and half of each day working with a performing arts instructor to create and perform characters with their own words and bodies. 

For all programs, participants should pack and bring a nut-free lunch and snacks each day as well as a reusable water bottle. We also strongly encourage a change of clothing to be kept on hand in a backpack in case of emergencies. All programs are hands on, and participants should wear clothing in which they can move freely and participate in art activities, as well as play outdoors (weather-permitting) during choice times.
