Enjoy an electrifying mix of Cuban musical traditions, masterful improvisation, and contemporary jazz as the Mosesian Center for the Arts welcomes Cuban saxophonist, percussionist, and composer Yosvany Terry for his debut on the Mosesian Arts stage. Since arriving in New York in 1999, Terry has become one of contemporary jazz’s most distinctive voices, blending the music of his native Cuba with bold, forward-looking jazz. *The New York Times* has credited his work with helping to “redefine Latin jazz as a complex new idiom.” A Grammy-nominated recording artist and recipient of the prestigious Doris Duke Artist Award, Terry has performed with artists including Chucho Valdés, Eddie Palmieri, Roy Hargrove, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, and Vijay Iyer, and currently directs the Harvard Jazz Ensembles.
