Join us for the March installment of the Open Mic series in the MCA lobby and art gallery!
The theme for our March event is “Hope” — a precious gem hidden underneath the many perilous items in Pandora's box. As the winter is approaching its final days, we are looking for signs of new life and we hope for renewal of our spirits through arts and creativity. We hope for beauty, for thriving humanity, or simply for a better life, counting on hope to keep us going through difficult times. Even if we experienced the pain of false hopes, we keep looking for ways of healing our wounds through the magic of art - an inherently hopeful remedy. Who knows what new talents we'll discover this time?
Our host for the night will be one of our long-time audience members, and a wonderful community art event organizer Connor Mochi (Art Battle Boston, AHT Dept). We are especially excited to announce that this month’s feature is Rich Eilbert, a dedicated performer and a master of his craft “whose melodies and lyrics illuminate the corners of life, with all of its pleasures, pains, human foibles and triumphs.”(Outloud Open Mic News)
The event is general admission, with some tables for sitting, some tables for standing, and maybe even a bit of a dance floor. Sign up to perform or come and enjoy the show on Wednesday, March 11. The doors open at 7:00 PM, and beer, wine, canned cocktails, soft drinks, and snacks will be available for purchase in our MBar throughout the show. Music starts at 7:30 PM!
Important note: Sign-ups open on Sunday, March 1 at 10:00 AM!
