Join us for the November installment of the new season of the Open Mic series in the MCA lobby and art gallery! This is our last event in 2025 - and we are super excited to prepare for the winter days in the warmth of our community! The November theme is “Gratitude” — in line with Thanksgiving, we invite you to think about all the good things in life, little moments of joy and small blessings that can change our mood. Connections, people, moments, gifts, and perhaps even hardships - whatever it is that humbles us and makes us remember the beauty of our world. There is a lot to be grateful for. Who knows what new talents we'll discover this time?
Our host for the night will be one of our favorite local talents, Alec Sullivan, whose lyrical expression and virtuosic performance invites us to dive deeper into the complexities of life. We are especially excited to announce that this month’s feature is one of our community gems Local Mowgli, bringing us a gentle meditative guitar experience, distorting the familiar tones of electric guitar in a psychedelic play of sound.
The event is general admission, with some tables for sitting, some tables for standing, and maybe even a bit of a dance floor. Sign up to perform or come and enjoy the show on Wednesday, November 12. The doors open at 7:00 PM, and beer, wine, canned cocktails, soft drinks, and snacks will be available for purchase in our MBar throughout the show. Music starts at 7:30 PM!
