December 31 - December 31, 1969
Charles Mosesian Theater
Black Box Jazz | Lydia Harrell with the George Russell Jr. Trio

Lydia “The LovelySinger” Harrell was to appear on the Charles Mosesian Main Stage as Billie Holiday in New Rep’s production of Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill in March and April of 2020.

That performance was, of course, cancelled, and this show is not that show, but Mosesian Arts is thrilled to at long last welcome Lydia Harrell for an intimate performance to ring in the winter solstice. Backing the LovelySinger’s sultry, soulful vocals, the George Russell Jr. Trio showcases a unique fusion of gospel and jazz by the Most Distinguished Faculty Award-winning professor of harmony. Along with George Russell Jr. on piano, the trio features Wesley Wirth on bass and Sean Skeete on drums.

$30 General Admission

Black Box Jazz is moving to the Main Stage! Due to high demand for tickets, this month's concert will be performed in our larger theater. Additional tickets are now available.

This is the second performance in the 2023-24 Mosesian Arts Black Box Jazz series, featuring faculty from the Berklee College of Music. Other performances in the series are November 1, February 13, March 27, and April 24.
