Three drag performers from Sydney take their show on the road, heading out across the Australian outback in a ramshackle bus named Priscilla. On their journey toward a promised casino gig in Alice Springs, they encounter enthusiastic crowds and homophobic locals, climb King’s Canyon in fabulous finery, and discover truths and secrets that test the limits of their friendship. This Academy Award winning cult classic stars Terence Stamp, Hugo Weaving, and Guy Pearce.
The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert is part of our Road Trippin’ Summer Film Series. All are welcome, but early registration is encouraged. Admission is free, and donations are gratefully accepted. A donation of any amount helps to support free programming such as this film series, plus the operational costs of our educational, performing, visual, and literary arts programs.
