Open Call for Exhibition Proposals 2026

Mosesian Center for the Arts is accepting proposals for the 2026 exhibition cycle. We’ve heard from artists and community members eager to bring their own artwork and exhibitions to our galleries. Now is your opportunity to propose the show you want to see at Mosesian Arts – whether as an individual artist, curator, or collective.
Individual artists or groups of artists are welcome to apply. Given the size of the space individual artists may be paired with other artists if the work allows, makes sense conceptually, or shares some connections and promotes dialogue between the bodies of work.
All media such as painting, printmaking, drawing, illustration, photography, 3D, mixed media, video, animation and sound will be considered.
Mosesian Arts is committed to supporting artists from diverse cultural backgrounds and is encouraging applications from emerging, mid-career, and underrepresented artists working conceptually or representationally.
The exhibition team will work with artists in the final selection and curation of the exhibition.
Important Dates:
- Submission Deadline: January 11
- Announcing Selected Artists: January 31
- Exhibition Dates: November 20, 2026–January 8, 2027
Submission Requirements:
- 10 images that are representative of the work that will be exhibited
- An Exhibition Proposal
- CV
- A short bio
- A Non-Refundable Application Fee: $40
- *If a group of artists are applying together, you may submit:
- A PDF file with compiled CVs and short bios for all the artists

About Mosesian Arts:
The Mosesian Center for the Arts is a multidisciplinary arts venue in Watertown, Massachusetts. The 30,000 square foot center, located within a former U.S. Army arsenal, houses a 339-seat main stage theater, a 100-seat black box theater, exhibition galleries, classrooms, and rehearsal studios. Mosesian Arts is located six miles from downtown Boston, borders the Charles River and Brighton, and is easily accessible from surrounding suburbs and Metro West. Programs include professional theater and musical performances, gallery exhibitions, literary and art discussions, and performing and visual arts classes and workshops for all ages.
Commission Structure:
For art sales, artists receive 60% commission, and the Mosesian Center for the Arts receives 40% for art sold during the exhibition. The Artist reserves all copyrights and reproduction rights on the artwork in the exhibition. Mosesian Center for the Arts may duplicate and reproduce images of work for purposes of public relations and exhibition announcements directly related to the exhibition.
