Workshop: Tell a Visual Story / Accordion Book I

In this one-day workshop, we’ll learn the basics of making a simple accordion book with a decorative paper cover. Then we’ll learn to write a visual story and fill our book. using drawing, painting, and collage elements. Visuals can lead us forward in storytelling in a different way than words. Each person can choose their own story theme. Examples of themes will be shared in the welcome email. Materials for the book are supplied by the Mosesian Center. If considering collage, students should bring in images and ephemera that might be useful.

*Accordion Book I and II can be taken as a one-day workshop, in any order or both.
