In this one-hour online workshop designed specifically for Teaching Artists, learn how to create a polished, professional movie using iMovie.  Discover step-by-step how to:

·      Import and Review video clips, photos, and music

·      Edit clips

·      Add Transitions and Titles

·      Create stunning effects like Slo-Mo, Fast-Forward, and Freeze Frames

·      Build overlays to create Picture-in-Picture boxes, Side-by-Side shots, and Green-Screen effects

·      Manipulate Audio

·      Export your project to email or view on Vimeo, YouTube, Facebook, or your website

This workshop will also cover best practices for creating your own Green-Screen Home Studio. General questions can be submitted and will be answered as time allows. All participants will receive a handout reviewing skills covered in the workshop.

Instructor John James Hickey (JJ) is a professional film-maker and software trainer in Los Angeles.  In addition to writing and directing films he has taught theater and film for over 30 summers at Camp Scatico in his hometown of Elizaville, NY.  He has also taught professional workshops at the National Theater in London.  JJ is a graduate of the Yale School of Drama.
