Since the early 2000’s, Boston musician and author Jen Trynin, and bookstore connoisseur Tim Huggins, have been hosting the Earfull Series, bringing together the worlds of writers and musicians. They prove that: given the right environment, Book People will love the experience of live music, and Rock People will realize how cool it is to hear great authors reading their work aloud.

In addition to the Earfull hosts, this evening's performers include:

Laura Zigman is the author of five novels, including Separation Anxiety (which was just optioned by Julianne Nicholson and the production company Wiip for a limited series); Animal Husbandry (which was made into the movie Someone Like You, starring Hugh Jackman and Ashley Judd), Dating Big Bird, Her, and Piece of Work. She has ghostwritten/collaborated on several works of non-fiction, including Eddie Izzard's New York Times bestseller, Believe Me; been a contributor to the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Huffington Post; produced a popular online series of animated videos called Annoying Conversations; and was the recipient of a Yaddo residency. She lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with her husband, son, and deeply human Sheltie. Website

Tom Perrotta is the bestselling author of nine works of fiction, including Election and Little Children, both of which were made into Oscar-nominated films, and The Leftovers, which was adapted into a critically acclaimed, Peabody Award-winning HBO series. His other books include Bad Haircut, The Wishbones, Joe College, The Abstinence Teacher, Nine Inches, and his newest, Mrs. Fletcher. His work has been translated into a multitude of languages. Perrotta grew up in New Jersey and lives outside of Boston. Website

Honeysuckle is a progressive folk act that blends older influences and traditional instrumentation with modern effects and inspiration. Comprised of Holly McGarry and Chris Bloniarz, this Boston-based band can frequently be found performing across the country. Honeysuckle has performed at Newport Folk Festival, Lollapalooza, Mountain Jam, Americanafest, Otis Mountain Get Down, and Audiotree. Awards include Americana Artist of the Year (2019) and Folk Artist of the Year (2018) at the Boston Music Awards, in addition to having been nominated every year since 2016. NPR named Honeysuckle one of the “Top 10 bands of 2016 So Far.” Website

Giant Kings - You may not know that name, but you do likely know the name of the guitarist, Duke Levine. Levine’s resume includes stints with Mary Chapin Carpenter, Peter Wolf, the J. Geils reunion, and Dennis Brennan (and many many others). He joins with Kevin Barry on guitar and lap steel, Marty Ballou on bass, Andy Plaisted on drums, Paul Ahlstrand on tenor sax, Mark Earley on baritone sax and the amazing Chris Cote (Upper Crust) on vocals, to rip through classic R&B, soul and country soul from the ’50’s and ’60’s.
