Women in Comedy Festival

Audiences are hungry to experience and celebrate comedy from different perspectives, and that is where WICF comes in. Our goal is to help close the gender gap in comedy by showcasing women and their allies across all comedic platforms. All of our offerings are open to people of all genders.

WICF features diverse performers, and brings together individuals from all walks of comedy, giving comedy audiences a chance to see work from both local and nationally known comedians, and enabling industry a chance to scout terrific talent.

Emily Ruskowki

Emily Ruskowski is a Boston-based stand up comedian. She has performed across the country and participated in several comedy festivals. In 2015, she was named of one the Comedy Studio's Comics in Residence and opened for Maria Bamford a the Wilbur.

Sabrina Wu

Sabrina is a Brooklyn-based comic, who’s been selected for the Women in Comedy Festival and Laughing Skull Comedy Festival. She’s also a staff writer on the Disney+ reboot of Doogie Howser.

Bethany Van Delft

Named Boston Magazine “Best Comic,” Bethany is the host of NOVA/PBS "PARENTALOGIC" alongside Dr. Alok Patel. Her debut comedy album, I Am Not a Llama was released in 2019 to good reviews and a number two spot on iTunes. Bethany is a regular host for The Moth StorySlams & GrandSlams, her own Moth mainstage story, Light & Hope, sharing her postpartum experience after her oldest child, garnered 15 million views. She is thrilled to have the story included in The Moth's second book All These Wonders and possibly just as thrilled to have had it re-posted by SULU! (aka George Takei) #ogtrekkie
