Hadestown: Teen Edition

Audition requests open January 15

 

Anaïs Mitchell’s haunting, jazz-inflected folk opera follows Orpheus’ mythical quest to overcome Hades and regain the favor of his one true love, Eurydice. WCT’s Black Box Musical Series provides student performers the opportunity to collaborate with a director, music director, choreographer and a small cast to develop a fully-staged production for the public in the Dinah Lane Theater. Please note that this is an audition based program. Audition scheduling will begin on January 15. Registration will open to participants if they are cast in and accept a role in the production.

 

Please prepare one 16-32 bar cut of a song from the show and one 16-32 bar cut of a song of your choice that shows your range and acting abilities. To reserve an audition slot, email production.wct@mosesianarts.org with your production resume and (optional) headshot or photo. A dance call will be required as part of the audition.

Tuesday, February 11 and Thursday, February 13, 6:00-9:00 PM

 

Rehearsals (not all participants will be required at every rehearsal):

Tuesday/Thursday 6:00 PM-9:00 PM, February 25-May 1

Saturdays 2:00 PM-5:00 PM, March 29, April 26, May 3

This Production WILL rehearse during April School Vacation

 

Tech Rehearsals (attendance is required for all cast): 

May 5-8, 2024 5:00-10:00 PM
