The Mosesian Center for the Arts invites you to Open Arts Day 2018! This annual FREE family-friendly, drop-in open house will take place this Saturday, May 5th from 10am to 3pm.
The event will feature Visual and Performing Arts activities for all ages and abilities tied in with the theme of the day, “Your Story. Our Landscape.” Families can participate in a variety of projects ranging from contributing to a communal landscape installation to creating their own self published Zine. The event will also feature facepainting, pottery demonstrations, a photobooth, and an Artist Market with locally made goods available for purchase.
For younger families, Jeff Jams will be performing an intimate set of music and there will be a rotating selection of story corner favorites! Families can also participate in a Disney Sing-A-Long in our MainStage Theater!
For families with older participants, Paradise Moves will host a movement slam and Watertown Children’s Theatre students will perform a student written One-Act play! WCT will also reveal the amazing productions that await for the 2018-2019 season with a hilarious presentation you won’t want to miss! The event is free and open to the public but advanced registration is requested.
This program is supported in part by a grant from the Watertown Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
Open Arts Day is a proudly part of ArtWeek Boston 2018.
